Not unusual for an East London afternoon, but inside was a different story: tattoo beds lined the space, kitchen roll and numbing gel stacked high, USBs plugged into decks as artists prepped for the session ahead. They’re here for Tattoo Assembly, the brainchild of CLUB X and CHURCH OF ENGLAND, two fixtures in London’s tattoo scene. 20 artists filled the space, stencilling flash and setting up for the day as clients poured through the doors. Some hung around by the bar, checking out the merch on sale and watching the tattoos take place, while others took to the chairs, getting inked by some of the best artists in London's tattoo scene. These included artists Jonah Slater, founder of Church of England Studio and the artist behind Dilara Findikoğlu’s viral dress, alongside @djforever123456789, @4play, @shabalaparabala, and more. In the gallery above, photographers Hannah Guyer and Poppy Pray captured the event. Photography Hannah GuyerEscape the algorithm!
